People walk through the city slums surrounded by litter. It is dull, a monochrome brown. Torn posters line the walls of events long past. A man drops a few coins into a beggar's hands. He smiles up as the man just keeps walking.

So You Want To Be A Writer?! So you want to be a writer? A topic I must cover before I start doing my writing tutorials is what it means to be a writer. While the last topic I covered “Why Not To Be A Writer” was a little tongue and cheek this is more of a serious tone. This is what you really have to do, and give up, to be a writer.

Why You Should Not Be A Writer!Why not to be a writer! I think you outta know this. I figured before I started my little writing tutorial series I might give you a little warning. That is right! This job should come with a warning. This is a little list of reasons I think you should not be a writer. I know funny isn't it.
The firs thing really is depression, loneliness, solitude for months out of the year. Financial uncertainty for the rest of your life. You will never have free time again, and when you do, at 2AM, you are going to wish that you didn't because you are going to be writing.
Other writers will always tell you that your writing is shit. That you did something wrong or somehow you messed up or that you are not following proper structure. You will quickly come to learn that other writers are assholes because other writers are assholes.
